I'm not one to usually write reviews, but I just had my haircut at J.W. Goodson's by Sky and my life has changed forever. The attention to detail, the understanding of hair and hair practices, it was the first time I felt like someone actually understood my hair. I usually keep a short cut and fades are all the rage lately, but I have never been able to find someone that could produce the results I was looking for, until I met Sky. I showed her a picture of, generally, what I was looking for, and by the time I left J.W. Goodson's I had a whole new lease on life. She had adapted the picture I provided to fit my hair/hair type and went so far above and beyond my expectations I wish my hair would grow back faster so I could schedule another appointment already. Thank you Sky, you are a living miracle and I am forever thankful for your expertise, skill, and perfection!

The JWG salon is very comfortable. All the stylists I’ve seen at work there do a great job for their clients. My Amiga & stylist extraordinaire Claudia is gifted at color & cuts. She’s also so charming and cute with her Latina hippie chic style that she’s far too young to remember. If your looking for a change of salon, try it out. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed. Sky has cut my hair long and short. Colored it red, brown and in between. Always satisfied. Now, I'm covid natural greyish and once again, Sky manages to make me look my best!

Sky has been doing my hair for 20+ years. She meticulous, current, honest and fun. There’s nothing she won’t try or attempt. Add to that a trip to the psychologist, a fashion discussion, and food talk make a trip to Sky absolute Zen!

Philip has been cutting my hair since he worked at a different salon prior to this one. He has never failed me & he always gives me the cut I ask for. I’ve never colored my hair before & for the first time he dyed it & added highlights & I’m OBSESSED! I walked out the salon feeling like a brand new woman lol He was very careful with my hair & I honestly am so happy I have finally found someone I can whole fully trust with my hair. Not only is he an amazing hairstylist, he’s also a beautiful person with such a lively spirit ❤️ I always look forward to seeing him! Love you Philip 🫶🏼

Dalton literally saved my life. I have always struggled with my curly hair and as I'm getting older it's become even harder to deal with. I went in on my birthday and not only did Dalton treat me like an absolute QUEEN, but he saved my curls! He recommended doing a gloss treatment which brought a lot of nice color and moisture back, and he also recommended some great products and walked me through all the steps he took to use leave in products and diffuse and dry my hair. I spent years trying to find a stylist who can manage my curls and now I will always go back to Dalton. Can't recommend him enough!

I’ve been seeing Leland for 5 years now. I absolutely love him and his work. My hair always looks amazing after seeing him. He knows how to cut curly hair and if anyone has curly hair, you know how hard it is to find a stylist that knows how to take care of it. I get my hair colored and cut with him. I receive so many compliments on my hair color. I highly recommend him if you’re looking for a new stylist.

Leland is a master at his craft. I’ve never found anyone that compares. After going to Leland for well over 20 years he’s perpetually building his knowledge about hair, products and the science behind great color. Currently he’s helping me gracefully transition to gray and I couldn’t be happier. I have curly hair but like the option to go straight. Leland knows how to cut my hair so it looks amazing both ways and uses keratin treatments that allow me to go curly without the frizz and straight while taming the effects of humidity. Leland has a great sense of humor, an easy going style and he’ll be honest about what will work for your hair. He’s an absolute gem.

I come here to see Phillip and he is absolutely incredible! Wonderful vibes, I also have curly/wavy hair and a shaved side and he's been the only stylist to ever give me a cut that I've left happy with. It's so nice being able to go to a stylist without constant anxiety of how it's gonna turn out - he always gives me exactly what I want. If you're looking for someone who is not only LGBTQ friendly but also someone who knows how to listen to you, I highly recommend Phillip 😌 Picture the day after my cut, my waves still look absolutely amazing even after being slept on.
